26 million dollars – and not one for us.
I’m feeling unloved.
I heard on NPR today that President Obama is asking for $600 million for research into the Zika virus – then when I checked the number just now it was up to $1.9 billion.
That’s ridiculous, why haven’t they taken our disease seriously? With our numbers and advocacy you would think sooner or later someone would! I’m getting more and more disgusted with the lack of funding. I know this is a so called “invisible disease” but the number of sufferers is staggering – maybe a march to the NIH headquarters would help?
